The Tower of Babel

From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth.

(Taken from the New International Version)

Make specific note of this bit:

“If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”

One language, one people, the progeny of Adam and Eve, more recently of Noah and his family, God's children/creations. Furthermore, God's concern (in the Bible) is consistently to do with God's chosen people - most references to other tribes (non-Israelites) is so they can, at some point, be killed off (like the extra in the away team on Star Trek). I fail to see your problem.

...and given that that is barely what the piece is about your 'stopping on the first line' is self-righteous rubbish.

If anything, your forcing me to use the specific wording of the Bible strengthens my analogy:

Genesis 11:6: "The LORD said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them."PropellerHeadCasehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06417230972766795613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8560795353098321087.post-88689367540809679442011-11-23T11:51:32.919+00:002011-11-23T11:51:32.919+00:00Your err begins in the first sentance!
